Last weekend a few members of Athletics PEI had outstanding performances at the Acadian Games in Caraquet, NB. Most notably was the record breaking throw of Katelyn Milligan from Summerside who won the gold medal in shot put with a throw of 11.29m. This distance broke the Acadian Games previous record of 10.78m. Katelyn also won the bronze medal in discus with a throw of 25.30m. Maria Arsenault of Evangeline won the silver in the high jump with a jump of 1m40. In the Midget  division, Nicolas Tremblay of Charlottetown won the bronze medal in shot put with a throw of 11.90m. Congratulations to all our athletes that participated at the games!
