Become an Official for Athletics PEI
As we gear up for another exciting season of athletics across PEI, we are reaching out to invite you to become an official (referee) for our upcoming track and field events. Your involvement as an official not only supports our young athletes, but also enriches your connection to the sporting community.
Why Become an Official?
Becoming an athletics official offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with our athletes in a meaningful way. Your role as an official is pivotal in ensuring fair play, safety, and the smooth running of our track and field meets. Whether you have a passion for athletics or simply want to contribute to the sport community of PEI, your participation as an official will be immensely valued.
What's Involved?
No prior experience is necessary to become an athletics official. Athletics PEI and Athletics Canada provide the training required to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to officiate effectively. As an official, you will oversee specific events such as sprints, long jumps, shot puts, and more. Your presence will not only support our athletes but also inspire them to excel in their respective disciplines.
